We do not employ any other option strategies that limit the profit potential and are commission costly. No spreads, strangles, straddles or any other combinations are used. Our goal is to trade 1-3 times per week, although this number may vary depending on market conditions.

and that sometimes the options you buy do expire worthless. Losing streaks do also happen. Aggressive account allocation may result in a significant loss after a few losing trades. However, if you employ a sound money management principle, you can reduce the risk by allocating only a small portion of your account for any one trade. But there is no guarantee whatsoever that any approach will result in a profit or avoidance of a loss. This is a part of this business too.
